With almost everything slowly becoming mobile-first, it was only a matter of time before  you could book a holiday with just an app. AirAsiaGo, one of the region’s biggest one-stop travel portals, has released the new AirAsiaGo Mobile App, which lets you book both flights and accommodation in a single app.

Working with Expedia Inc, one of the world’s top travel technology companies, the AirAsiaGo app was developed by Expedia’s top engineers, and works in tandem with AirAsiaGo’s web platforms. As a sweetener, mobile-exclusive deals will also appear on the app, encouraging more users to book their holidays using the app.

Offering a selection of more than 365,000 hotels around the world, users can browse through listings anywhere, anytime as long as you have a smartphone and an active Internet connection. AirAsia flights can also be easily booked here, making it an ideal one-stop solution for those looking for last-minute travel bookings.

In addition, the app also has a real-time notification feature, which buzzes you with information such as flight status, departure gates, as well as hotel check-in/check-out reminders. The app also inputs the users current location by default, allowing for easy searches for nearby hotels – which can be useful when you’re abroad. What’s more, the app is also localised and displays six different currencies and languages: Malaysian Ringgit, Thai Baht, Indonesian Rupiah, Chinese Yuan, Hong Kong Dollar and Singapore Dollar.

Finally, to celebrate the release of the app, AirAsiaGo will be holding a 48-hour flash sale on AirAsiaGo.com starting from 29 January (tomorrow) and ending 30 January 2015. Throughout this period, customers will be able to enjoy free flights when purchasing together with a hotel stay. On the other hand, those who are only booking hotel accommodations can use the promo code “AAGHOTEL” for an extra 10% off the existing deals on the site.
