Fans of CCGs should take note that the prerelease of the newest expansion for Magic: the Gathering, Fate Reforged, will be taking place place over this weekend. Players will join one of five clans battling in the world of Tarkir, while participating in a race to heal the Spirit Dragon Ugin. Of course, you could just be there to get your hands on the cards before the official 23 January street date.
The pre-release events will be taking place across the globe and at all participating stores. The Klang Valley has more than its fair share of shops with Spartan Games Arena, The Comics Corner, Cards And Hobbies, Signa Games Arena, and The Tavern included.
Each store will be holding pre-release sessions starting from midnight tonight until about 3pm on Sunday 18 January. Times will vary according to different stores and interested players should contact the shop before turning up. Prices also vary although it should be in the RM85-90 per session range.
Fate Reforged is the second expansion in the Khans of Tarkir cycle and features an unusually large number of dragons in the set. It also features the only other legendary dragon Planeswalker in the entire history of MtG.
