Ex-Arrow Gaming Members Reform As “We Are Sorry”

Malaysia’s Arrow Gaming Embroiled In Dota 2 Match Fixing Scandal

Arrow Gaming

Dota 2 players from team Arrow Gaming that were involved in a match-fixing scandal, have reformed under the team name “We Are Sorry”. The team  has been allowed to play in the upcoming Vietnam Champion League Season 2 as the organiser of the tournament believes that the players have turned over a new leaf.

The scandal, which took place a couple of months ago, involved Arrow Gaming players DDZ and Lance, as well as their girlfriends. Questionable bets against the team were made which raised suspicion around the time another match rigging scandal from the Philippines was taking place.

Initially, both DDZ and Lance denied accusations of match-fixing but later admitted to the scandal through Facebook and Reddit posts. In hopes of clearing their name, the players said that the reasoning behind the match-fixing scandal was due to low paying salaries as the eSports scene in Malaysia.

The change of name appears to indicate that the team is at least apologetic about their past behaviour. What is questionable is why MTR, MoZuN, and xiangzai are still associating with people who would make it harder for them to rejoin the eSports scene. This solidarity among team-mates is surprising, but not unwelcome.
