Ever wanted to be driven by a local celebrity? Your wish may come true as Uber and Volkswagen have recruited 52 local celebrities as drivers for a today-only charity event. Among the celebrities are Leng Yein, JinnyBoy, Adam C, Reuben Kang, and Reshmonu.
In order to be a part of this charity drive, go to the Uber app and slide right to “UberVW.” Set your desired pickup location and select “Request Celebrity.” If a celebrity driver is nearby, you’d be picked up!
Uber has informed us that the demand for these celebrity drivers will be very high, so if you don’t get your celebrity ride immediately, keep trying. Here is the full list of celebrities that is taking part in this charity event:

If you’re lucky, certain celebrity drives will have more than one celebrity in the car. Each ride for this charity event will cost RM20 with a maximum trip time of 30 minutes. Only three people are allowed on each trip, so do take note.
For a better chance of securing a celebrity driver, request for a pickup location from areas such as Bangsar, KLCC Golden Triangle, BU/TTDI, Mont Kiara, Mid Valley, KL Sentral, and selected areas in Petaling Jaya.
All proceeds from this charity event will be matched by both Uber and Volkswagen Malaysia, which will then be channelled to 31 charities of the celebrities’ choosing.
