Recall 1

Now here’s something I’m pretty sure all of us want in all message-related services – the ability to “unsend”. WeChat recently introduced a new message Recall feature on WeChat 5.3.1, allowing users to do just that.

Available on iOS and Android, the Recall feature allows users to recall a sent message within the last two minutes instantly. Just tap the message and tap the “recall” button and voila! It’s like the message was never sent.

The update also comes with several new features including:

  • Tags for Contacts – group your contacts with tags like “Co-worker”, “In-Law” or “BFF” so you can find people easily. The feature can be accessed in the “Contacts” tab, just select a name, tap the settings icon above, select “Set Remarks and Tags”, and insert keywords for the contact.

  • Favorite Messages in Bulk – save all your favorite messages into one package so you can quickly view them. Simply long press the desired message, select “More”, choose multiple messages and tap the “Favorite Messages” icon below to save.

Meanwhile for those of you who are following WeChat for their games, the company today released a new game called Thunder Raid, a thrilling vertical-scrolling shooter game with advanced cartoon-style graphics. Check out the Games section under Discover on your WeChat to find out more about Thunder Raid.
