It looks like Google is ready to roll out a new design to its Play Store for Android devices, the Mountain View company recently Tweeted that their latest update to the Play Store has just started rolling out, and should reach all Android devices in the coming days. The new design was leaked about two weeks ago on Android Police and based on the teaser pictures shared by @GooglePlay, it might just be the real deal.

The pictures that were shared on Android Police comprehensively compares the current Play Store to the new one, on both Android tablet and phones. According to the screenshots, listings are more colorful and attractive with the main image/video shown off on a big header that takes up the entire top bar.

On top of that, the rest of the listings have gotten a makeover as well with a neater layout with more white space, more careful use of typography, and the content description expands into a full-screen view.
The update is currently being released by Google and doesn’t seem to have reached our shore…yet. At the time of writing, the Play Store on my phone still looks the same so let us know when you receive the update and let us know what you think about it.
