Samsung has announced a new series of premium audio products for mobile use. Known as the Samsung Level series, the four audio devices have the traditional focus on smartphone and tablet integration with Bluetooth connections and a mobile app to control the sound levels.
The flagship Level Over headphones feature touch controls, wireless Bluetooth pairing, and a hybrid type active noise cancellation system. It also contains a dynamic driver with Neodymium; which Samsung says will provide a deeper and more natural sound. Although this material is not all that uncommon in audio equipment.
It also pairs with the Samsung Level app, which is specifically designed to work with the Level Over. A system that Samsung is calling Samsung SoundAlive allows users to customise their listening experience according to their preferred music or media. It provides 25 settings for different scenarios, and also comes with a built-in smart volume monitor which tries to ensure that people do not damage their hearing with music.
Samsung Level Box is a compact Bluetooth speaker optimised to deliver high quality sound at a reasonable volume. The press release indicates that it is also ideal for conference calls, which would at least indicate that voices will be clear through the speaker. Samsung’s use of NFC technology continues here to allow the Level Box to pair with NFC enabled smartphones quickly.
The Samsung Level series will be available for purchase from 23 June onwards at all Samsung Experience Stores and Samsung authorised retailers. Level Over retails for RM1,399, while the Level Box is RM659. Two other devices, the Level In will retail at RM559 and the Level On (a smaller version of the Level Over) will be priced at RM699.
As part of the launch promotion, Samsung is offering a 50% discount on all Samsung level products for receipts above RM1,500 or above. This offer lasts from 23 June to 6 July and is only applicable in Samsung Experience Stores.
