At the Selangor State Budget Dialog 2015, Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has said that The Selangor government will soon set up a 4G system in the state that will provide residents access to free wireless Internet. The technology will be based on the Optical Distribution Antenna System and is now in the working paper stage pending presentation to the Members of Parliament and state assemblymen. He said the policy would provide the public with free Wi-Fi while generating income for the state government through renting out telecommunication structures.
