Leak: Motorola to Release Moto G LTE and Special-Edition Moto G Ferrari

Moto G LTE and Moto G Ferrari Xakata leak

The Motorola Moto G is without a doubt one of the most exciting smartphone in the market. Featuring very modest specs under its 4.5” display, it retails at only RM698,making it one of the best smartphone in its class, but there is one thing missing – it does not have any LTE connectivity. With all our major local telcos providing LTE now it’ll be nice to have a device that can ride on the network and if you’ve been waiting for an affordable Android phone with LTE on board, your wait might be over soon. Motorola has been rumored to be working on two new variants of the Moto G smartphone, one of which is an LTE-enabled Moto G.

According to a Mexican website called Xataka, the leaked devices will be called the Moto G LTE and Moto G Ferrari. As suggested by the name, the Moto G LTE will come with LTE on board, a feature that’s missing from the original Moto G. According to the rumors, the Moto G LTE will feature everything found on the original device – 4.5” HD display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM and will run on Android KitKat but instead of offering a 8GB and 16GB option, the Moto G LTE will only come in 16GB flavor.

Unfortunately as for the Moto G Ferrari, there aren’t any information about the device but PhoneArena believes that it could be a Ferrari red version of the Moto G. The last Ferrari branded Motorola device was the Motorola i867 Ferrari, which featured a red and black color theme.

The Moto G LTE is expected to be released in Mexico this June with a retail price of $260, that’s about RM850. Excited to see new smartphone that is value for it’s price? With LTE available on all the major telcos here in Malaysia, I definitely can’t wait to see more affordable LTE-enabled devices released into our market.
