One Day Only: Uber KL Offers To Deliver Free 11 Litres Of Water, Right To Your Doorstep

UBER

This coming Friday, Uber Kuala Lumpur will be distributing 2200 litres of drinking water in Klang Valley for free. Yup, you read that right: for free. Not only that, the on-demand private car service will deliver it right to your doorstep.

All you need is the Uber app in your smartphone.

Okay, maybe you need to log in into the app as well. Once you there, follow these steps that were provided by Uber KL to request for your free set of drinking water which consisted of two 5.5 litres bottles for each house:

– Using the Vehicle Picker ‘WATER’ as seen in the app, consumers within Klang Valley need to move the green pin displays on their smartphones to the location where they want the water to be delivered to.

– If our water ninja cars are available, our Uber app users will be receiving a notification stating that 11 litres of drinking water will be delivered right at their doorsteps.

– Request via our application must ONLY be made on FRIDAY – 21st of March 2014 between 10am to 6pm.

In addition to the steps above, this one day only special service – Uber KL calls it as Water On-Demand – is limited to the first 200 household in Klang Valley vicinity. As part of the campaign, Uber KL has also deliver 300 litres of drinking water to the charity organization, Pure Life Society.

While this might be the first time that Uber KL has embarked in this type of limited time service, Uber has done similar activity in other markets numerous times before. For example, the company offered kitten delivery service in honour of the National Cat Day in United States last year.

Since Klang Valley is facing drought right now, guess Uber KL’s Water On-Demand special service comes at the right time. If you have yet to install Uber in your Android or iOS devices, you able to obtain it through Google Play and Apple App Store.
