Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for Windows Phone 8

The original game for PlayStation 2 might be hitting 10 years old this year but Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is still an awesome game in its own right and it is now finally available for Windows Phone 8. WP8 is the latest mobile platform to receive the game after Rockstar Games released it to Android, Amazon Kindle, and iOS devices last month.

While the contents of game is still the same in general, Rockstar Games has made a number of improvement in order to suit smartphones platform. Such improvements include on-screen dual touch analogue sticks and reworked checkpoint system that allows for easier game progression. Not to forget, the mobile version of GTA: San Andreas also features enhanced high-resolution graphics and improved character models.

Curiously, the game apparently only supports selected Windows Phone 8 devices such as Nokia Lumia 1520, 1320, 822, 820 and 810 as well as HTC 8XT. However, numerous commenters on WP Apps Store have stated that they are still able to play the game on other non-listed WP8 devices such as Nokia Lumia 920, Lumia 925, Lumia 1020, and HTC 8x.

Priced at RM 21.49, the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is available for download through WP Apps Store Malaysia right away. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t come with trial mode though which means you can’t test it prior to your purchase.
