E3 2013: PlayStation 4 Is Used Games-Friendly and Doesn’t Have To Be Always-Online, Says Sony

PS4 Supports Used Games

During their E3 2013 press conference, Sony have also announced that there will be no restrictions on disc-based used games for PlayStation 4 – a huge relief for many gamers out there. They even released a rather hilarious video to deliver their point as shown below:

No matter on you see it, that video is definitely a direct jab at Microsoft’s stand on used games issue for Xbox One. Other than that, Sony have also mentioned that PS4 doesn’t have to be authenticated through Internet every 24 hours as per Microsoft’s console. Not to forget, PS4 is also USD 100 cheaper than Xbox One even though it might not come with a camera.

While Sony exec claims that these policies have been set in motion way before E3 and not an immediate response to Microsoft’s console, the applause from attending gamers that Sony received during their E3 press conference is certainly a big signal that they are going in the right direction.
