Ever found your Gmail inbox too messy and cluttered with all your emails grouped together under one tab? No worries because Google recently announced a new design for its Gmail service for both desktop and mobile platforms (Android and iOS).
First up, on the desktop version, Google has separated your mails into different categories which appears as different tabs within your mail – Primary, Social, Promotions, Updates and such. This means that all your social related mails will be grouped together, all promotions and offers will be placed together, making it easier for you to reach out to the mails that you truly care about. The tabs are easily customizable and users are free to add or remove the tabs as they wish.
As for mobile users, Gmail for Android 4.0+ and Gmail for iPhone and iPad apps have also been revamped to show you your primary mail, while the other tabs are easily accessed in a new menu.
The new Gmail inbox has been rolled out and will be reaching to all users over the next couple of weeks for both desktop and mobile versions but if change is not something you welcome, especially since you’ve gotten to the same old Gmail design you been using for so many years, you can switch back to classic view.
