Hmm… the comments are not viewable. Why is that Lowyat.net ?

To those who are buying new ones, the Portico update will be applied. Mine came out of the box with it.

To those who want to update themselves, you don’t have to wait for OTA or go to the centers. Just google for manual updates, and you will have few hit. In general, you will need 2 separate apps. 1 to get the official firmware. The other to flash the phone with it. It takes some practice, but it works. I’ve upgraded my 610 to 7.8.

Portico update firmware is already available for our region.

    • Those invisible comments are actually linkbacks to this post. Btw, thanks for sharing your experience on updating your Lumia manually. I assumed you did it through the Nokia Care Suite and by available, you mean they already in Navifirm?

Nokia Malaysia is damn lame. We’re the only country that can’t get OTA updates simply because our local Nokia is so inept that they don’t even know what good customer service is (just visit any official Nokia store and see) and their IT department is crap (3 months+ and still no OTA? “server problem lah wait 3 months bro also cannot fix, wait one more lah…can chillax?!). Really damn suck their service. Nokia should overhaul their local management.
