If you have an appetite for awesome graphical power, then the new Asus ROG ARES II is a graphics card that you might want to consider. With only 1000 units are made available throughout the world, some of them – each delivered inside a carrying case which included an aluminum plate with laser-etched serial number – are now available right here in Malaysia.
First introduced to the market earlier this year, it is powered by two AMD Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition GPUs with each running at up to 1100MHz. Accompanying the combo are 6GB worth of GDDR5 memory that runs at 6600MHz as well as a hybrid thermal solution that combines together both liquid and air cooling system.
Furthermore, Asus has also implemented its in-house DIGI+ VRM technology that usually found on the company’s motherboard together with 20-phase Super Allow Power architecture to help improves Asus ROG ARES II’s stability and lifespan.
The company claimed that the combination of all these features resulted up to 13-percent more performance than a reference NVIDIA GTX 690 graphics card while still maintaining lower operating temperature with differences of up to 31-Celsius. Asus also bundled the card together with ROG Edition GPU Tweak utility for users to tweak the ARES II’s ability to their preferences and monitor its statistics.
