It wasn’t that long since Lenovo launches its new IdeaPad Yoga convertible laptop here in Malaysia but it looks like consumers might be able to see new Yoga in the market soon. However, the new Yoga model – if the “industry sources” are correct – will not run on Windows 8 or Windows RT but instead, it will run on Android instead.
Interestingly, the new Android-based Yoga will be powered by either Intel or ARM-based processor. While ARM processor is rather common when it comes to Android devices, Intel-based Android devices are rather scarce for the time being – saved for a number of smartphones. That being said, Intel has recently announced the new quad-core Bay Trail Atom SoC processor which we believe will most probably power Lenovo’s new Android convertible laptop.
It has been said that the new Android-based Yoga will be launched in the first half of this year. Hence, it shouldn’t be long to find out how true this news is going to be.
