Looks like Tizen isn’t really dead in the water after all. Culling rumours of a potential cancellation of the Tizen project, Samsung will be holding a special event shortly before February’s Mobile World Congress to finally unveil the first Tizen devices. The project has seen its fair share of delays, having been officially unveiled at this year’s MWC, where Samsung initially announced that it will be unveiling the first Tizen-based devices in August or September. Obviously, that didn’t happen, but with an event already scheduled for February 23, 2014, it looks like we’ll finally be seeing some fruits of about two year’s worth of development, in addition to some seriously strong industry support for the Tizen project.
