HTC Malaysia has just announced the arrival of its powerful mid-range Android smartphone – the HTC Desire 500 that is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor. It may be a mid-range device, but it packs one of the best HTC Sense 5 features out of the box – HTC Blinkfeed and Video Highlights, that compiles all your latest stills and videos and compiles them into a 30-second reel.
The HTC Desire 500 is designed with a 4.3” WVGA display on board, along with some mid-range specs such as an 8MP rear camera, 1.6MP front camera, 4GB of internal storage expandable via microSD, 1GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.2 out of the box. While the 8MP rear shooter may not be the Ultrapixel camera found on the higher range devices from the company, it uses a dedicated HTC ImageChip processor to create spectacular stills and HD video.
