Android 4.4 Kitkat caught the world off guard. Not because of anything new in the specifications, but because it’s the first Google OS to be named after a branded food. The move also spelled defeat for a campaign launched by shopping site Pricebaba to name the build Kaju Katli; a kind of Indian sweet.
They’re starting over though. There is a new campaign to name the next build Ladoo. As part of their tactics, they are preparing to send boxes of the confectionery to Google execs. However, they might face trouble succeeding because one of the main reasons the original Key Lime Pie name wasn’t used is because not many people are familiar with the taste of the dessert. Although there are probably enough Indians in the world to overcome that problem.
On another note, is it time to start campaigning for Android 4.5 Lemang yet?
