Chinese manufacturers Huawei have unveiled its latest Hisilicon K3V3 mobile processor, the company’s first octa-core ARM-based processor. The new K3V3 mobile processor has reportedly completed development, and features max clock speeds of up to 1.8GHz and a Mali-based 28nm GPU. It has not been confirmed, however, if the new silicon is based on ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture like the other octa-core mobile processor currently in the market, the Samsung Exynos Octa.
The K3V3 processor sports a new cooling system invented by Huawei which cools and “auto-charges” the processor when running at high temperatures, while also providing longer standby times. There is, however, no mention of when we will see the new Huawei chip inside its future products.
