#BajuRayaProject is a mini, spontaneous project made possible by a bunch of Twitter users who share the same interest; using social media as a medium to do charity. Spearheaded by Aida Sue (@aidasue), editor of Wanista.com, this project was inspired by other similar projects that have collected used tudungs & telekungs for distribution to those in need. Everyone deserves to look their best in Baju Raya, but not everyone can afford to get a new set of clothing to celebrate this joyous time. By organizing the #BajuRayaProject Aida Sue and crew hope to share the happiness and bring a few smiles to the faces of those in need on Hari Raya.

Come this 7th July, Aida and her crew will be at Masjid Salahudin Abd Aziz Shah from 9:30am to 1pm collecting your used Baju Raya. For those outside KL who want to do their part you can post or deliver by hand your Baju Raya to a range of selected orphanages on the facebook page http://www.Facebook.com/bajurayaproject or on their website http://www.wanista.com. Please note that the #bajurayaproject will only accept clothes that are still in decent, wearable condition as well as brand new clothes to facilitate the sorting process.
