We all know that Motorola is working on an upcoming device that we should look forward to. The team behind the company recently teased a Motorola Moto X device, the first smartphone designed, engineered and assembled in the USA. According to rumors around the internet, the device should pack the latest Android operating system straight out from Google, and offer a close to stock Android experience.
If you’ve been patiently waiting for Motorola to officially announce the device, it looks like the moment is coming soon, really soon. Motorola today opened up a sign up page for the Moto X, allowing you to register your email address with them and be among the first to find out more about the device and what the company is up to. The sign up page also boast the ability for you to customize your own phone:
“It’s also the first smartphone that you can design yourself. Because today you should have the freedom to design the things in your life to be as unique as you are.”
It’s been widely rumored before that the Moto X will be a highly customizable device, ABC News recently reported that Moto X buyers will be able to add a customized engraving on the back of the phone for online purchases. The news site also reported that buyers can also submit photos that will be used as a wallpaper for the phone when it arrives. Nowhereelse.fr recently received images of what seems to be the back panel of the Moto X showing off some pretty attractive range of colors. They reported that their sources says that Motorola will introduce no less than 16 different colors for the Moto X including blue, purple, green and red.
Unfortunately though, it looks design is the only thing you get to customize on the Moto X, according to tipsters from PhoneArena and reports from ABC News, customers will not be able to customize any hardware at all. Moto X is rumored to pack some mid-range specs including a 720 x 1280 display, Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and a very large battery.
Are you excited to see what Motorola has got to offer? The sign up page is just a click away.
