Made with comfort, longevity, silence, and safety in mind, Michelin Malaysia today have officially launched their latest range of tires called the Michelin Primacy 3 ST. Generally targeted for executive sedan, the new Primacy 3 ST are the direct replacement of the company’s existing Primacy LC and Primacy HP range of tires.
Said to be designed and developed specially for Asia Pacific’s rather extreme road and weather condition, Michelin claimed that the Primacy 3 ST tire has 25-percent better longevity than both of their predecessors. Apart from that, the Primacy 3 ST (which actually stands for Silence Tuned) tire also features a number of technologies that are aimed to provide users with better and safer ride.
One of them is called EvenPeak which is responsible for providing quieter ride to users (of up to 8-percent as compared to other makers, claimed Michelin) by having a wider spectrum of tread-block sizes so that more noise can spread across a frequency range. There is also the CushionGuard technology which provides the Primacy 3 ST tire with more flexible tread compound and shock absorbent sidewalls that altogether reduce vibrations and resulted in smoother ride.
On top of all that, Michelin have also implemented FlexMax and StabiliGrip technologies into Primacy 3 ST that work together to give 1.6m shorter braking distance in wet road conditions as compared to its predecessors. Readily available in 16-inch to 19-inch sizes, the new Michelin Primacy 3 ST tires comes with a recommended retail price that starts from RM 480 onwards which varies according to specific tire sizes.
