Samsung Galaxy Note III Design Leaked via Purported User Manual

The Samsung Galaxy Note series of phablets is due for a new hero device, and is reported to be lined up for an early September release. We’ve already heard of some seemingly outlandish rumours about the Note III’s specs, such as a 13MP camera with optical zoom and optical image stabilisation system – minus the bulge that the Galaxy S4 Zoom or the new Nokia Lumia 1020 has.

However, up till now there still hasn’t been a firm leak about the upcoming phablet’s physical design. This may have been primarily due to the fact that the higher echelons at Samsung refused to introduce a new design featuring a metal chassis for the Note III, and instead stick to the tried and trusted design language featured in 2012’s Galaxy S III.

Dutch site Sim Only Radar received a tip of some sketches of what appears to be the new Galaxy Note III,  that were taken from what appears to be the user manual. Of course, due to the constantly rehashed design, this could have been just about any Galaxy device launched in the past 12 months. However, one aspect about the sketches stood out: the enlarged flash module next to the camera, which suggests that the Galaxy Note III may be fitted with a Xenon flash.

The specs that were published alongside the sketches also seem to tally with other rumours circulating online: a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED Full HD screen, 13MP camera sensor, Android Jelly Bean (no version number specified), and the dual chipset option that we mentioned earlier today. From the sketches it also looks like Samsung has fitted a physical camera shutter button on the Galaxy Note III.

According to Unwired View, Samsung is most likely announcing the Galaxy Note III on September 3, ahead of the IFA event in Berlin.
