Any chance these people were behind this?
It was like a scene right out of the 2001 blockbuster “Ocean’s 11”, or even 2003’s “The Italian Job”. An entire shipment of iPhone 5s have been stolen as it was being loaded into a plane in France, complete with guns, continental cars and fire.
Three armed robbers hijacked the vehicle that the shipment was in at the loading bay at Marignane airport, and forced the vehicle driver to drive off, escorted by two BMWs and a Renault. 10km later, the robbers stopped and loaded the shipment of what are most likely scratched iPhone 5s into a van.
Just for good measure, they torched the airport vehicle before driving off into the European sunset. Of course, police investigations are underway, but we doubt there is much that can be done.
