[Notes From The Team] Lowyat.NET’s Stance On #Stop114a

There has been a lot of talk on our Twitter Timeline as well as our Facebook Page wondering how Lowyat.NET stands on the #stop114a movement following yesterday’s Internet Blackout. As you may have noticed, Lowyat.NET did not participate in the blackout, leaving the site free of the black popup you may have seen on other sites, however that doesn’t mean we are anti #stop114a. As the purpose of the Blackout was to inform the public what #stop114a was about, we decided that a post on the matter would be better than to “go dark” for 24 hours.

To clear up any misconception or speculation on the matter, Lowyat.NET is in full support of the #stop114a movement and will continue to publish and discuss more on the amendment and its negative implications on the online social media scene in Malaysia from a neutral and unbiased standpoint.

Thank you all for your continued support, for without you, who are we?
