No matter how good cameras on mobile phones these days or how good apps are becoming in simulating various lens effects, nothing beats having the versatility of different lenses on your camera/phone. The iPhone 4/4S is by no means the best camera phone around, but it’s pretty good for what it is. The Fisheye Side
The OlloClip 3-in-1 photo lens is a simple attachment you can just slip onto your iPhone 4/4S and it will alter the focal length of your lens so you can take either wider pictures, fisheye distorted images or even closeup macro images without sacrificing the quality of the camera from post image manipulation that most apps do.
The Macro Lens
The attachment is reversible with the Fisheye Lens on one side and the wide angle lens and macro on the other side. Both come with lens caps to protect the lenses from scratches. The lens attachment easily slips on and off and the only gripe I have is that it obscures the power button so you can’t switch the phone off without taking it off, that being said, I don’t think you’d want to leave it on anyway as the Olloclip is on the bulky side.

The macro functionality is pretty good, letting you get right up to your subject and snap away. I’m not exactly sure at the minimum focal distance, but it’s pretty darn close.
Conclusion
The Olloclip performs pretty well for something that just slips on with minimal effort. If you have a screen protector on your phone however, you’ll need to be a little careful when slipping it on because it can just peel off the protector. Without any protector, it’s actually pretty loose and not snug. If you’re an avid iPhoneographer, this may just be for you, provided you don’t lose it somewhere.
