Last week, Nothing announced the Headphone (1) Pro, an advanced update to the brand’s first over-ear headphones. It features a number of incremental upgrades, including better ANC and less weight, as well as some more substantial improvements like sporting a triple-driver setup. At the time, the company had no local pricing and availability details to share. Today, it has announced what the headphones cost in Malaysia, but stopped short of providing an exact availability date.
In case you missed it though, the Nothing Headphone (1) Pro mostly maintains the aesthetic of the original, with the brand stating it can be used for casual listening as well as more serious audio work. Despite having three times the driver count, it is still slightly lighter than the original, sporting materials like the shatter- and scratch-resistant 9H Panda Glass at the back of each earcup and titanium for the headphone arms, as well as more padding on the headband.

The aforementioned triple-driver setup essentially puts one driver responsible for low, mid and high frequencies each. There’s also the collaboration with Metropolis Studios for tuning, where the original was tuned by KEF. For professional use, the Nothing Headphone (1) Pro also comes with a dedicated Flat EQ switch, turning off any personalised sound profiles that you use for personal listening in favour of a completely neutral one for work.
These updated headphones also feature what is called the Studio B Dynamic Spatial Audio that simulates the acoustic characteristics of a mixing room, a feature that could fall into both personal and professional use. Either way, Nothing advertises a battery life of up to 68 hours for the Headphone (1) Pro which, granted, is lower than the original.

While Nothing has not shared when the Headphone (1) Pro will be available on shelves – that will be announced at a later date – you can pre-order these headphones starting today from its official product page, or via the Nothing Image Store, TMT, Urban Republic, other authorised retailers, Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop. The company has also given them a RM1,499 price tag.
