Asus has confirmed via its official Weibo page the launch date of its NVIDIA RTX Spark ProArt 16 laptop. That launch date is 8 October, which is a little more than a week away.
The ProArt 16 RTX Spark will reportedly be using an RTX Spark N1X chipset. As an ultra-quick primer, the chipset is the GPU brand’s first-ever all-in-one processor, made in collaboration with MediaTek. Specs-wise, it is a chipset comprising 20 Grace CPU cores; 6,144 Blackwell RTX GPU cores; 5th-generation Tensor Cores; and 128GB of Unified Memory. NVIDIA says that the chipset outputs 1 Petaflop of FP4 performance, thanks to each component being connected via its own NVLink-C2C interconnect link
Other specifications of the ProArt 16 RTX Spark include a 16-inch Lumina Pro OLED display with 3K (2,880 x 1,800) resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut with a peak brightness of 1,600 nits.
Technically speaking, Asus officially debuted the ProArt 16 during IFA 2026 earlier this month, but we got a sort of first hand look at the laptop much earlier than that at Computex 2026. For that matter, Asus also has a 14-inch model in addition to the 16-incher, but at this point, it’s clear which of the two models the Taiwanese brand is focusing on. Sadly, there’s still no price tag, which we’re guessing will only be announced on the day itself.
This isn’t the first RTX Spark laptop that has been given a launch date. Earlier this month, Microsoft also confirmed that it would be hosting an event for a new Surface Laptop Ultra on 7 October US time, which would make it 8 October for us in Malaysia. Once again, that model coincides with the RTX Spark variant that we saw during a tech demo session in Taipei. Additionally, MIcrosoft also said that it would be lauching an RTX Spark Dev Box later this year in the US, but didn’t provide any specific date.
