As promised, Xiaomi has officially launched the Pad 9 Pro Max in China. As the name suggests, it is the company’s latest flagship tablet and features the new XRING O3 chipset.
To recap, the device features a 13.3-inch 3.4K display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. This panel boasts a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an estimated Delta E of 0.47. The company also offers a Soft Light edition of the tablet; however, this variant shares identical specifications with the original, aside from its anti-reflective display.
Under the hood is the aforementioned XRING O3 chipset, which allegedly has a maximum clock speed of 4.35GHz. The company pairs this with a 16-core G2-Ultra NX GPU. Xiaomi claims that this combination allows for up to 85% higher GPU performance and 64% lower power consumption compared to previous models.
Memory options include 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB of RAM. Meanwhile, for storage, the device comes in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities. Keeping the lights on is a whopping 12,000mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging.
In terms of OS, it should come as no surprise that the Pad 9 Pro Max runs on Xiaomi’s own HyperOS 4. According to Xiaomi, this software allows the device to run up to six applications simultaneously. Other details include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, eight speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and six microphones.
The device has a total of two cameras, one on the rear and another at the front. The rear lens is a 50MP sensor, while the one on the front is a 32MP snapper.
Once again, the Pad 9 Pro Max tablet can be purchased in China now and is available in maroon, silver, and black colourways. The device has five different configurations: 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 512GB. They are priced at CNY4,799 (~RM2,911), CNY5,299 (~RM3,214), CNY5,799 (~RM3,517), CNY6,099 (~RM3,699), and CNY6,599 (~RM4,003), respectively.
Meanwhile, the Soft Light edition only has two configurations, which are 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB. The former is priced at CNY6,899 (~RM4,185), while the latter goes for CNY7,899 (~RM4,791). As noted in our previous report, Xiaomi has yet to confirm the device’s international availability.
