Tecno has officially introduced the MegaPad Pro in Malaysia, positioning it as a practical tablet for everyday use. Initially introduced during IFA 2025 last year, the new tablet is intended for students, casual users and light productivity needs.
At the front, the MegaPad Pro features a 12-inch 2K display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The panel also supports up to 450 nits of brightness and includes low blue light certification. For audio, the tablet comes with four stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
Under the hood, the MegaPad Pro runs on a MediaTek G100 Ultimate chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Tecno also includes support for virtual RAM expansion of up to 8GB, bringing the total usable memory to 16GB for smoother multitasking. Storage can be further expanded via a microSD card slot of up to 512GB.
The MegaPad Pro is equipped with a 10,000mAh battery, which Tecno claims can deliver up to eight hours of usage, alongside support for 33W fast charging. Connectivity options include LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB-C, while its imaging system comprises a 13MP rear camera and an unspecified front-facing selfie snapper.

The tablet also integrates several AI-driven features, including the Ella voice assistant, smart text recognition, and tools for summarisation, translation, and document scanning. Another notable feature is cross-device integration via Tecno OneLeap, which enables file sharing, screen mirroring, and multi-device control between compatible Tecno smartphones and PCs.

In Malaysia, the MegaPad Pro is priced at RM1,199, available in Sky Grey or Aurora Purple colourways. According to Tecno, early buyers will also receive a bundled keyboard case and stylus, while stocks last. The new tablet is available through the company’s official digital storefronts on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop, as well as authorised distributors nationwide.
Tecno MegaPad Pro VS MegaPad 11
Compared to the earlier Tecno MegaPad 11, the MegaPad Pro is clearly positioned as a step-up model rather than a direct replacement. The older tablet features a smaller 11-inch FHD+ display and runs on the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, paired with a smaller 8,000mAh battery and slower 18W charging.

In contrast, the Pro model upgrades to a larger 2K panel, a newer chipset, faster charging, and a bigger battery, making it better suited for heavier multitasking and longer usage sessions. That said, the MegaPad 11 still holds its ground as a more affordable option at RM899, offering similar core features such as 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, and LTE connectivity.
