LG unveiled three new UltraGear evo 5K gaming monitors ahead of CES 2026. The lineup comprises the GM9, the GX9, and the G9.
Starting with the UltraGear evo GM9, this is a 27-inch 5K Mini LED gaming monitor that incorporates onboard 5K AI upscaling, AI Scene Optimisation, and AI Sound, without a cost to GPU overhead. As its name suggests, the monitor sports a 5K Mini LED displayu, featuring 2,304 dimming zones, and a Zero Optical Distance engineering that minimises the gap between the panel and LEDs.

The monitor also supports dual-mode, allowing users to switch between 5K resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate, and QHD resolution with a 330Hz refresh rate, both with the same 1ms GTG response time. Additionally, it’s VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified, with a peak brightness 1,250 nits.
The second UltraGear evo gaming monitor is the GX9. The first of two ultrawide gaming monitors in the new lineup, it features an expansive 39-inch 5K2K OLED panel, while also featuring the same on-device AI solutions as the GM9. Specifically, the panel uses LGs Primary RGB Tandem OLED technology.

It’s also a dual-mode monitor, meaning that it can run at 5K2K resolution at 165Hz or WFHD at 330Hz. Oh, and it has a 0.3ms GTG response time, too. The curvature of the GX9 is rated at 1500R, while the pixel density of the monitor is rated at 142 PPI, and it is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified.
Lastly, there’s the UltraGear evo G9, LG’s massive 52-inch 5K2K ultrawide gaming monitor. Yes, it has a 21:9 aspect ratio, but also the vertical height of a standard 42-inch 16:9 display. With a curvature of 1000R, it is the most curved of the two ultrawide gaming monitors in the lineup and the one that should provide the most immersive viewing experience. Additionally, it has a 240Hz refresh rate but no dual mode, but it is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified.

There’s no official pricing or availability yet, details that we’re guessing will be made available during CES 2026.
