Recently, at the ongoing Global Automotive and Technology Expo (GATE) 2025, national automaker Perodua unveiled its very own EV home charger. This is a key aspect of its EV ecosystem that is being built around its fully electric model (EV) that is set to debut this month.
The home charger will be fully integrated with Perodua’s dedicated app, P-Circle, which launched last month. According to Paultan.org, the charger supports up to 7kW AC charging and features a distinctive two-tone wood and black finish, which sets it apart from conventional EV chargers in the market.
The unit features a 5MP CCTV camera that enables users to monitor their car and porch in real-time through the P-Circle app. The app also enables users to schedule and control charging sessions conveniently.
Just below the camera is a vertical light bar that is expected to glow green when the charger is in use. It also comes with an illuminated logo and customizable ambient lighting. Built locally, the IP55-rated wallbox supports multi-user access via password or card, with the card tap area located between the two Perodua logos.
Perodua’s new EV chargers comes just a month after it introduced two other products alongside its app last month, the P-GO Smart Watch and P-Charge Mobility. The P-GO Smart Watch offers a range of features, including health monitoring, sleep tracking, and music control. What truly sets it apart, however, is its ability to function as a digital key for Perodua vehicles equipped with keyless entry systems.
Meanwhile, the P-Charge Mobility unit serves as a portable charging solution with a capacity of 180kW and an output of 60kWh. When fully charged, it can reportedly recharge up to three electric vehicles from 0% to 100%, making it a practical and versatile option for on-the-go charging support.
