Coinciding with the Nova 14 series, Huawei is launching the FreeBuds 7i in-ears. These buds will serve as the successor to last year’s FreeBuds 6i but at a slightly cheaper price point.
Design-wise, the FreeBuds 7i takes on a more circular shape, reminiscent of a hockey puck, compared to the 6i’s oval-like shape. Diving deeper inside, the official press release states that the FreeBuds 7i features Intelligent Dynamic ANC 4.0, which the company boasts is capable of delivering deep noise cancellation of up to 55dB. This comes on top of familiar IP54-rated dust and water resistance.

The in-ear buds use an 11mm quad-magnet dynamic driver with 10-band EQ adjustment to better tune their sound output. It also features an AI-powered noise reduction and bone conduction microphone for improved clarity and stability when it comes to calls.
As for battery life, the FreeBuds 7i can last up to five hours with ANC on and eight hours with ANC off. The charging case helps extend battery life up to 20 hours with ANC on and 35 hours with ANC off. Speaking of charging, Huawei claims that the buds are equipped with fast charging capabilities, allowing for four hours of playback with just 10 minutes of charge.

Huawei prices the FreeBuds 7i at RM329, making it cheaper than the FreeBuds 6i, which retailed for RM399 at launch. Those interested in owning the item can pre-order it through the brand’s official website or authorised resellers across the country. Additionally, each purchase comes with 1-Year Loss Care worth RM59 and early bird online vouchers.
