Xiaomi has officially added the Portable Photo Printer Pro to its global website. Measuring in at 142.5mm long, 86.8mm wide, and 26.8mm thick, the portable printer can easily slip into a pocket or a bag for carrying convenience.
The pocketable printer uses professional dye-sublimation printing in order to produce highly detailed photos. The official website boasts that the printer can support 313 dpi resolution with a 16.7 million colour gamut and 256 levels of greyscale. This range of colours is said to enable the printer to capture accurate shades and “true-to-life” clarity.

As for the printing process, on the other hand, the device roughly takes up to a full minute to print a single photo. During this time, the Portable Photo Printer Pro will also automatically laminate the image, protecting it from moisture, fingerprints, and fading.
What sets this printer apart, however, are its AR capabilities. As per the official website, users can scan the printed images with the Xiaomi Home app. From there, the account creator and authorised friends and family members can view a 15-second video or a 60-second audio playback that is attached to the photo. It is worth noting that each account can upload up to 100 AR video photos by default.

Other specs for the Xiaomi Portable Photo Printer Pro include Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, an approximate weight of 308g, and a USB Type-C connection port. The device also supports multi-user connection for up to three users. Furthermore, the device has a rated battery capacity of 880mAh, but no charging time was specified.
Needless to say, this isn’t the first photo printer to arrive in the country. As a quick refresher and reference, there was the Canon Mini Photo Printer of yesteryear, which started at RM499, and the more recent Instax Mini Link 3, which was priced at RM628.

The device is currently available in the UK for GB£109.99 (~RM617). This purchase includes the printer itself, a USB Type-A to Type-C cable, a photo paper pack containing 10 sheets, and an ink cartridge fit for 10 photos. The printer is expected to expand to other areas, but it is unclear when it will be available for purchase in Malaysia.
