2025 is nearly over, and for blue chipmaker Intel, it means that we’re getting closer to the launch of Panther Lake. While there are official details of the upcoming chipset already out in the open, along with not-so-official news about its performance, there is barely any information about the alleged “Core Ultra X” tier, until recently.

Thanks to the Benchleaks bot, information pertaining to an alleged Panther Lake Core Ultra X7 358H recently emerged on the GeekBench 6 repository. Even more interesting is the fact that the mobile CPU was tested on what is clearly an upcoming variant of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop.

The Panther Lake Core Ultra X7 358H reportedly has a base clock of 3.6GHz and a turbo boost of 4.8GHz. It is unclear what the discrete GPU in the Zephyrus G14 was, but Geekbot does list down an Intel Arc GPU with 16GB running on the system. Other specifications indicate it was paired with 32GB DDR5 RAM and 16 Cores, spread out in two clusters running in a 4+12 configuration.

The OpenCL score of the CPU is listed as 51,331.

Previous reports initially suggested that Intel was already planning on releasing a new Core Ultra X tier with Panther Lake. The new Geekbench listing more or less proves that the rumours were true, giving diehard Intel supporters something to look forward to.
