Samsung has announced that it will be hosting another event next week. Called Worlds Wide Open, the event is slated for 21 October at 10PM Eastern Time. For us, that’s the following day, 22 October, at 10AM. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the main focus of this event will be Project Moohan, which has been the subject of a few leaks recently.
For the uninitiated, Project Moohan is the brand’s first mixed reality headset built on the Android XR platform. For now, Samsung has yet to reveal the product’s official name, but previous reports suggest that it may be called Samsung Galaxy XR.
Aside from that, the headset is expected to feature a 4K micro-OLED display, six cameras for detecting motion, and four internal sensors for tracking the wearer’s eye movement. Moreover, the device packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip and will reportedly offer around two hours of battery life.

For now, it is unclear whether the company will be unveiling other devices alongside Project Moohan, as the announcement makes no mention of other products. As per usual, Samsung will be streaming the Worlds Wide Open event. Those interested in watching it can head over to the brand’s official Newsroom, or its YouTube channel.
