The upcoming Samsung foldable, ostensibly called the Galaxy Z Trifold, has had plenty of its details leaked. More more has seemingly been added to the list, which is that it will come with a three-battery configuration. This comes from a patent filed at the Korea Intellectual Property Information Search, or KIPRIS.
Having three segments, it’s little surprise that the Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold will have three battery packs acting as one. After all, the existing foldables have two separate packs that are connected at the hinge. Though the patent looks to go further by also revealing the size of each pack.
From the images, the smallest of the three batteries look to be in the segment with the triple camera setup. This is then followed by the segment of the Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold with the secondary display, which sits in the middle. And finally, the segment that is sandwiched between the two when folded will be the one packing the largest.
All that being said, the patent does not mention specific capacities for each pack, or even a combined figure. Though with three segments, here’s hoping that the combined total will be more than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 which has 4,400 mAh.
