Xiaomi has expanded its product lineup in Malaysia with the debut of two new tablets, launched alongside the Xiaomi 15T series. Leading the announcement is the Xiaomi Pad Mini, a compact flagship tablet, and the Redmi Pad 2 Pro, a larger mid-range option.
The Pad Mini is Xiaomi’s first compact-sized tablet and it lives up to its name with an 8.8-inch display, packing a sharp 3K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and brightness of up to 700 nits. It also supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, making it well-equipped for media consumption despite its smaller form factor.

Under the hood, the device runs on the same Mediatek Dimensity 9400+ processor found in the Xiaomi 15T Pro, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Powering it is a 7,500mAh battery with support for 67W HyperCharge fast charging and 18W reverse wired charging.

Meanwhile, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro features a larger 12.1-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 600-nit peak brightness. It also comes with four speakers enhanced by a 300% audio boost feature. Inside, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset on a 4nm process, supported by a 12,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and 27W reverse charging.
In terms of pricing, the Xiaomi Pad Mini is retailing at RM2,299 for the 12GB + 512GB variant, with a limited-time launch promo at RM1,999. Colour options include Grey and Purple.
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro, available in Lavender Purple, Silver and Graphite Grey, starts from RM1,299 for the 8GB + 128GB Wi-Fi model, RM1,399 for 8GB + 256GB, and RM1,799 for the 5G variant. As part of its promotion, this tablet can be purchased online at a reduced price of RM999.
