After much teasing, the HONOR X9d has finally made its official debut on our shores. Touted as the brand’s toughest midranger, it comes with a claimed SGS Triple-Resistant Certification for durability. Moreover, it gets some notable upgrades from last year’s model, namely in the battery department.
Starting with the basics, the X9d features a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a 1,200×2,640 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 6,000 nits. Aside from that, the smartphone sports bass dual speakers. It also boasts an IP69K rating for resistance against dust and water jets.
Under the hood, the device packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. As previously revealed, the phone is powered by a massive 8,300mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 66W wired charging, as well as 7.5W wired reverse charging. For software, the midrange device runs on Android 15 via the brand’s MagicOS 9.0 skin. Connectivity features include 5G, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2.
On the imaging end, the X9d sports a dual setup comprising a 108MP main camera and a 5MP ultra-wide lens. As for the front of the device, it is equipped with a 16MP shooter in a punch hole cutout. The HONOR X9d comes in four colourways: Reddish Brown, Sunrise Gold, Forest Green, and Midnight Black.
Alongside the X9d, the brand has also unveiled the X7d and the HONOR Pad X7. The X7d is the X9d’s entry-level sibling. It comes with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. Additionally, it features a 6,500mAh battery, as well as 512GB of storage. This phone is priced at RM799. As for the Pad X7, it is a tablet featuring an 8.7-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. Internally, it packs a 7,020mAh battery. The tablet retails for RM499.
As for the HONOR X9d, it is currently available for pre-order, with general availability starting 10 October 2025. Pricing for the phone starts at RM1,499 for the 12GB+256GB configuration. Meanwhile, the 12GB+512GB model retails for RM1,699. Those pre-ordering the device are entitled to free gifts worth RM1,146, including a free Pad X7, one year extended warranty, plus one year liquid damage protection warranty.
