Apple has officially confirmed that its annual fall event will take place on 10 September 2025 at 1am local time. The launch will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, with the company teasing the occasion under the tagline “awe dropping.” Like before, those not attending in person can still catch it via live stream on the company’s website and social media channels.
The headline announcements are expected to centre around the iPhone 17 series, where an all-new “Air” variant is also expected to be introduced. It is said to be the thinnest smartphone from Apple yet, coming in under 6mm thick. In exchange for its slim profile, the device is said to feature a smaller battery and just a single rear camera. Additionally, it is speculated to be a replacement for the existing Plus model.

Rounding out the lineup will be the standard iPhone 17, alongside the higher-end iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Leaks suggest Apple may also adopt a camera bar design across the series, a departure from the diagonal and stacked layouts used in recent years.
On the software front, Apple is expected to showcase more details on iOS 26, which was first previewed at WWDC earlier this year. The update introduces the new Liquid Glass design overhaul, as well as expanded Apple Intelligence features that enhance Siri and other system functions. It should be noted that you can already experience iOS 26, as it is available as a public beta for applicable iPhone models.
Beyond the iPhone, the event may also bring refreshes to Apple’s accessory lineup, with updates to AirPods and the Apple Watch possible. As with past years, availability and pricing details for the new devices should be revealed during the keynote.
