Maxim has launched a special Partner-Driver Legalisation Program. According to the e-hailing service’s official statement, the program was designed to ensure that all of its partner-drivers operating on their platform are fully licensed, compliant, and legally authorised.
“This program is not just about fulfilling legal requirements — it’s about building a stronger, more responsible e-hailing community. We want every partner-driver on our platform to feel confident, informed, and stay fully compliant,” says Mohd Hazwan, Director of Maxim E-hailing Malaysia.

As per its requirements, partner-drivers must now upload the following documents:
- Valid PSV license
- Insurance certificate
- PUSPAKOM inspection report
- MyKad
- Vehicle’s and partner-driver’s photos
Once submitted, the documents are then put through what Maxim says are rigorous validation processes and an authenticity review. Additionally, the e-hailing service is also partnering with more than 25 driving schools across Malaysia to assist its partner-drivers in obtaining both EVP and PSV licenses.
“Maxim’s new registration process is a big improvement. It’s clearer, faster, and I like it that they guide you step by step, especially with the PSV and EVP licenses. The real-time alerts helped me fix my issue quickly, and the bonus that compensated the license fees was a nice surprise. It really feels like they care about helping partner-drivers stay legal and safe on the road,” said Mr. Ahmad Azmee, a Maxim partner-driver from Sungai Petani.
