While the star of the HONOR launch event was naturally the Magic V Flip 2, the company also revealed a peculiar accessory combo. In the same vein, and maybe because it’s not meant for markets outside its home country, it has a name that doesn’t make sense when machine translated. Either way, it’s the Select Yuewo Wireless Ear Mouse Pro.
With the way Chinese names are often contracted, expanding it just slightly would help make more sense of the product. But what this is, is a pair of wireless earbuds with the charging case also being a mouse. And because it’s such a strange combo, it looks to have quirks that will need getting used to.

To start, HONOR advertises its convenience by nothing that the usual wireless pairing process is unnecessary. This is because it has a dongle that you can just plug in to get both the mouse and earbuds working. But then comes the part that says “dual mode one-button switching, which sounds like you can’t use both simultaneously.
For what it’s worth, they share a 1,000 mAh battery, which HONOR says can keep them alive for 30 days. The mouse portion makes use of “custom TTC switches” with a lifespan of five million clicks. The earbuds, on the other hand, have dual magnetic drivers.

The HONOR Select Yuewo Wireless Ear Mouse Pro is priced at CNY269 (~RM158). Though it’s pretty unlikely that it will make its way out of its home market.
