In conjunction with Gamescom 2025, MSI announced a new gaming monitor, the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50. As its name suggests, the monitor uses a QD-OLED panel, along with several other MSI-centric features.
The 271QR is a WQHD (2560 x 1440) display, featuring a 500Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GTG response time. Additionally, it is a VESA ClearMR21000 and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified, ensuring gamers deep blacks and bright, vivid colours.

The party piece of the 271QR is the MSI OLED Care 3.0 system. Using a built-in NPU, along with an always-on CMOS sensor, the monitor checks for user presence every 0.2 seconds. If it detects no one, the monitor automatically enters a sleep mode, as part of the monitor’s panel protection measures, as well as to save power and prevent burn-in.
Ports-wise, the 271QR houses one DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20 port, two HDMI 2.1 ports, one USB-C port that serves as a DisplayPort alternative and supports 98W PD, two USB-A 5Gbps ports, that in turn are linked to the USB-B 5Gbps next to it.

At the time of writing, MSI has announced neither pricing or availability of the 271QR. Likewise, there is no local pricing or availability either. We’ve reached out to the brand’s local representative for details but as of this publication, they haven’t responded
