HONOR has officially launched its newest clamshell foldable in China, the Magic V Flip2. The sequel to the Magic V Flip packs a few notable upgrades, mainly in terms of camera and battery.
To start off, the smartphone sports a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED interior display with a 2,868×1,232 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, as well as a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. Meanwhile, the cover screen is a 4-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 1,200×1,092 pixel resolution, refresh rate of 120Hz, and 3,600 nits of peak brightness. Aside from that, the device comes with dual speakers, as well as IP58 and IP59 ratings.

Under the hood, the foldable packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It also features a 5,500mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. Aside from that, it supports 7.5W reverse wireless charging. Connectivity features include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. On the software side, the Magic V Flip2 runs on Android 15 via MagicOS 9.0.1. It comes with a selection of AI-powered features, including a suite of AI-assisted photo editing tools.
As for the cameras, the phone gets a 200MP main rear 1/1.4-inch sensor with f/1.9 aperture, as well as OIS. The secondary shooter is a 50MP ultra-wide unit with a 120-degree FOV. For the selfie enthusiasts, the front of the device houses a 50MP camera in a punch hole cutout.

The HONOR Magic V Flip2 comes in Purple, White, Gray, and a limited edition Blue. As with the original Magic V Flip, this special version is the product of a collaboration with fashion designer Datuk Jimmy Choo.

Pricing for the phone starts at CNY5,499 (~RM3,238) for the base 12GB+256GB version. For now, there is no word on whether the company will be selling the foldable outside of its home market.
