HONOR is gearing up to unveil its Magic V Flip2 compact foldable for the Chinese market soon. Ahead of the official announcement, the company has taken to Weibo to hype up the device with new teaser posters, highlighting improvements to its display durability as well as its battery and charging capabilities.
According to HONOR, the Magic V Flip2 uses an Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) flexible OLED panel, similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z foldables. The display is said to withstand up to 350,000 folds, which translates to around five years of regular use. Even after that level of stress testing, the company says the crease in the middle of the panel would measure no larger than 50 micrometres.
The teasers also confirmed that the Magic V Flip2 will pack a sizeable 5,500mAh battery. Alongside this, it will support 80W fast wired charging, and for the first time in HONOR’s clamshell lineup, 50W wireless fast charging.

As for colour options, earlier teasers confirmed that the phone will be offered in a lavender shade with wispy wavy patterns resembling clouds, while a limited edition sparkly blue version that’s designed by fashion designer Datuk Jimmy Choo is also available. Separately, a leak from earlier this week suggested the phone will also feature a dual-camera system with a 200MP primary sensor paired with a 50MP secondary shooter.
