Internet service providers (ISP) sometimes provide service subscribers mesh WiFi routers, either for free or at a heavy discount. CelcomDigi has announced that it’s doing just that for the One bundle plans. Subscribers of these plans can also get the ASUS ZenWiFi BT8 mesh router for as low as RM29 a month.
The mesh WiFi router in question features tri-band WiFi 7 support, providing coverage up to 5,900 sq. ft, or about 548 square metres. Helping it achieve this include seen internal antennas and eight front-end modules. It also provides other tools like parental controls and VPNs, with the option of 4G and 5G mobile tethering via USB.
Under normal circumstances, the ASUS ZenWiFi BT8 costs RM2,298. Which brings us back to getting it from CelcomDigi. If you’re a subscriber of the One plan, you can get it with an Easy360 instalment instead. Pay for it over 24 months and it will be RM39 a month. Choose the 36-month option instead and it will be RM29 a month. Whichever you choose, it will still be more affordable than getting it off a shelf on its own.
As for where you can get it, you can do so via both the online store and its physical stores. If you are not yet a subscriber of the CelcomDigi One plan, you can get to subscribing via the same channels.
