HONOR has officially announced that the HONOR MagicPad 3 is coming to Malaysia. The upcoming follow-up to the highly popular MagicPad 2 is slated to officially launch on 20 August. The brand has boasted that the device is a “performance powerhouse”, meant to continue the precedent set forth by its predecessor.
Though the official specs sheet has yet to be disclosed to the Malaysian crowd, the tablet’s launch in China reveals that it features a 13.3-inch LCD display with a 165Hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 colour coverage, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. Despite the downgraded screen, the device still supports IMAX Enhanced content that can be enjoyed through an eight-speaker spatial audio.
However, the key selling point of the device is its thinness and weight, which only come in at 5.79mm and 595g, respectively. Under the hood, the tablet is run by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The MagicPad 3 is also packed with a large 12,450mAh battery that can handle 66W fast charging. When combined with a proprietary E2 chipset, which increases battery efficiency, the MagicPad 3 is said to be able to play online movies for up to 16 hours on a single charge, according to HONOR. Other details include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port with support for DisplayPort 1.2.
For a camera, the tablet is kitted with a 13MP primary shooter and a 2MP macro sensor on the back. Flipping it over reveals a 9MP selfie camera.

The HONOR MagicPad3 will be available in three colourways, which are grey, beige, and white. Pricing starts at CNY2,999 (~RM1,764) for the base 8GB + 256GB configuration and CNY4,199 (~RM2,470) for the 16GB + 1TB. Specifications for the tablet are based on details released to the Chinese market and may be subject to change when it arrives in Malaysia.
