Tecno previously launched its Pova 7, including its whole pricing situation, but that one only supported 4G connectivity. Today, the company has launched the Pova 7 series again as promised, now involving the base model with 5G support, as well as an Ultra model, also with 5G support.
Starting with the Pova 7 5G, the phone comes with a 6.78-inch Full HD+ screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. Inside, it runs a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate, and a 6,000 mAh battery with 45W wired and 30W wireless charging.
At the back, the Tecno Pova 7 5Gsports only a 50MP shooter, despite the way it looks. There’s also a light sensor here, and in front, it sports a 13MP shooter instead. It runs Android 15 with the HiOS 15 Special overlay, and wrapping up the package is an IP64 rating.
Moving on to the Tecno Pova 7 Ultra 5G, this instead comes with a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED 144Hz display. Yes, it is smaller than the model with no prefix. The chipset here is a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate, and powering it is a familiar 6,000 mAh battery. It also has the same 30W wireless charging, but when plugged in, it gets boosted to 70W charging.
Cameras on the Ultra model is a 108MP and 8MP combo at the back, and a familiar 13MP secondary camera. As before, this also runs HiOS 15 Special over Android 15, and sports an IP64 rating.
The Tecno Pova 7 5G has 8GB of RAM, and a choice of 128GB or 256GB of storage. These are priced at RM899 and RM999 respectively. As for the Ultra, you get 256GB of storage, but a choice of 8GB or 12GB of RAM instead, and are priced at RM1,299 and RM1,399 respectively.
For both, the company says that it is providing a 5,000 mAh power bank which supports 30W wireless charging in the box. Worth noting is that the Pro model has not made an appearance today.
