The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has announced that Malaysians can now register for a JPJeID at driving schools nationwide, effective yesterday (5 August). This new initiative aims to simplify access to JPJ’s online services through the MySIKAP and MyJPJ platforms.
The JPJeID is an official digital account that provides users with a ‘User ID’ and ‘Password’ required to log in to both applications. It is available to all MyKad and MyPR holders, enabling them to carry out 38 JPJ-related transactions online, including those related to driving licence services.
For instance, individuals who have passed the Driving Education Curriculum (KPP01) test can now apply directly for a Learner Driver’s Licence (LDL) via MySIKAP. The LDL will be displayed automatically in the app once the payment is made.
This nationwide rollout allows learner drivers and the general public to conveniently register for a JPJeID at any driving school. With this initiative, JPJ aims to significantly improve access to its digital services and streamline the overall user experience.
This is not the first time JPJ has introduced upgrades to their application. In February this year, the government entity introduced a new feature in the app which allows Probationary Driving Licence (PDL) holders to convert their licences to a Competent Driving Licence (CDL) entirely online.
